VITO GAMBERALE’S BIOGRAPHY

Vito Gamberale worked as Chief Executive Officer in F2i, contributing to the creation of the most important Italian institutional and private Funds for infrastructure investments.

Born in Castelguidone on 3 August 1944, He graduated Mechanical engineer from La Sapienza University of Rome and then started his professional career for Anic, a society belonging to the Eni Group qualified on hydrogenation fuels. He then became industrial analyst for IMI (Istituto Mobiliare Italiano), where He developed a deep knowledge of the Country’s industrial and production structure. This consciousness was important for the work for Gepi (Società per le Gestioni e Partecipazioni Statali), where He took the responsibility for acquisitions and privatization.

From 1984 to 1991, Vito Gamberale contributed to Eni’s textile area and other no-core segments privatization.

In the Nineties, He became Chief Executive Officer of Sip and, under his guidance, the company grew with the resulting development of mobile systems in Italy. He then created Tim, becoming CEO of the group.

From 2000 to 2006, after leaving 21 investimenti (a fund belonging to the Benetton family), Vito Gamberale headed Autostrade and he changed the company into a multinational.

In 2007, He founded F2i, a fund qualified in infrastructure investments that provides services in fields such as airports, motor ways, renewable energy, gas distribution, integrated water services, waste to energy and optical fibre networks.

Tor Vergata University of Rome awarded him the same year with an honorary degree in Telecommunication Engineering.

From 2015 to 2018, Vito Gamberale held the position of Chairman of Quercus Assets Selection, a company which specializes in utility-scale renewable energy infrastructure investments. He is now Chairman and Shareholder of Iterchimica, a company operating in the chemical area, and Chairman of ITEЯ Capital Partners.
